Publishing Principles
Everything published on this site is written by Mark Ross. There is no editorial team, no contributor network and no agency writing under his name.
Who it is written for
Senior and mid-career professionals who are paying for their own representation. The reader is usually inside a live appointment process, or has just come out of one badly, and has been given no useful account of what happened. The material is written for that person. It is not written for employers, for internal recruitment functions or for other search firms, and it does not soften itself for them.
What gets published
Explanations of how senior appointments are actually decided. Who is in the room, what they are pricing, when the decision starts, and why the feedback afterwards is one word. Thirty years of running the employer's side of that process is where the material comes from. Where an argument rests on something Mark Ross has watched happen rather than read, the page says so.
The rule on figures
Every claim of proportion, frequency or scale carries a named source and a year, or it does not appear. Where no verified figure exists, the argument runs with no number in it. Several widely repeated recruitment statistics have been removed from this site for failing that test, and the ones that went are listed on the corrections page.
Client language
The pain points quoted across the site are shaped from real coaching sessions and written in a single composite voice. They are never presented as attributed testimony, because they are not. Named testimonials are a separate category, they are attributed in full, and they are published only with written permission.
What is never promised
No page on this site promises an appointment, an offer, an interview or a salary outcome. The services sold here are preparation, evidence, access and representation. None of those is an offer letter and the copy never implies otherwise.
Independence
No sponsored posts. No paid placements. No advertising. No content supplied by a third party. No affiliate income, no referral commission and no revenue from any link on this site.
Use of drafting tools
Drafting tools are used in preparing material for this site. Every claim, figure, source and attribution is checked against the primary source by Mark Ross before publication, and he is accountable for all of it.
