Ethics Policy

The standards this practice holds itself to, published so they can be held against it.

Confidentiality

Most people who approach Headhunters International are in a job and cannot be seen looking. Nothing about a client is disclosed to anybody at any time. No client is named publicly without written permission for that specific use. No public record, no traceable form submission, no shared calendar entry that reveals a name. Where a client is in role, nothing about the engagement exists anywhere it could be found.

Whose side this is

Mark Ross is paid by the executive he represents and by nobody else in the process. No fee, commission or benefit is taken from an employer, a search firm or a third party in connection with a client's appointment, by Headhunters International or by any part of the group that owns it. Both sides of the same appointment are never billed.

Truthfulness about fit

Where the service is wrong for the person asking, they are told so and pointed elsewhere. That has cost work and it will keep costing work.

No outcome promises

Preparation, evidence, access and representation are what is sold. An appointment is decided by a board that Headhunters International does not sit on, and no page, call or proposal will suggest otherwise.

Pricing conduct

The price is stated before any work begins. No urgency mechanics, no artificial scarcity, no countdown, no discount pressure. Nothing on either Headhunters International property carries them.

Evidence and attribution

Claims about a client's record are sourced where confidentiality allows and are never inflated. A claim that cannot be evidenced is not made on a client's behalf.

Public commentary

No live appointment process is ever discussed publicly. No employer is named in connection with a client. No individual is discussed by name without permission.

Data

Client material is held only as long as the engagement and the legal retention period require, and is not shared, sold or used for marketing. [LINK: privacy policy URL]

Referrals

Where somebody is referred to another adviser, no fee is taken for the referral, in either direction.

Use of drafting tools

Drafting tools are used in preparing published material. Every claim, figure, source and attribution is checked against the primary source by Mark Ross before publication. No client document, client name or confidential material is put through any third party tool.
